A recent event called the 'Trail Standards And Chain Saw Safety Clinic' was held to teach participants to help build and maintain equestrian trails. It was hosted by hosted by BCHBC Aldergrove Chapter, organized by Dan MacDonald and led by expert George Ralph at the club education center. A large group of interested participants gathered for a morning indoor session where we were treated to a presentation on the care and feeding and above all, the safe use of chain saws since they play a large part in the building and maintenance of trails. After lunch, the group moved outdoors to a location which simulated various conditions found on actual equestrian trails. Many thanks to Dan and George for putting on this very interesting and useful event.
If you care see a selection of images which help tell the story and view the participants in action, please click on ‘Galleries’ at the top of the home page and select ‘Photo Gallery 2.’
